About Me

Hi, I'm Lyndsay and my son was diagnosed with cows milk protein allergy at 5 weeks old.  He's now 18 months old and after searching for and creating my own recipes, raiding the shelves in supermarkets and trying to eat out dairy free at different cafes and restaurants I've decided to make this blog to share great recipes and supermarket finds with other parents about to embark on the dairy free journey.

I will also share lots of soya free, egg free, wheat and gluten recipes too!

Update: My son is now soya intolerant too.

I am a qualified Dental Nurse with a post qualification in Dental Radiography but after ten years of nursing it's time for a career change into the mental health sector.  Helping others is something I have always been passionate about.  I am currently studying a Health & Social Care degree with the Open University and I volunteer weekly for a charity called Home-Start, supporting families with children under the age of five who are struggling.

With the new law coming into effect on the 13th December 2014 I will also be posting my eating out dairy free reviews, lets hope this new law makes it easier for us to eat out dairy free and not harder!

There is a great support group for cow's milk protein allergy on Facebook, cow's milk protein allergy support is a not for profit organisation which was set up to raise awareness so no future babies with cow's milk protein allergy have to suffer.
